NGD's onsite service is driven by a revolutionary microfluidic sample preparation system, which enables the unprecedentedly low cost that is critical to practical adoption. Reagent volumes are reduced over 10-fold versus manual or robotic systems, while throughput is up to 48 samples per automated run.  Moreover, the Standard BioTools X9 instrument, exclusively licensed to NGD for pathogen sample preparation, is sleek and small, taking 4x less bench space than large liquid handling robots.

The NGD system incorporates proprietary system control, quality control and monitoring software which ensures that all samples are quantified, logged, and traced, with sample prep results monitored by NGD.  The system enables highly repeatable, reliable, daily sample preparation supporting daily batched runs that enable transmission detection, while minimizing cost/sample.
